Archiving Policy

1. Long-Term Preservation:

  • "Policy Journal of Social Science Review" (PJSSR) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. We actively archive all published articles and associated materials (e.g., data, supplementary files) to ensure their availability for future generations of researchers and readers.

2. Archiving Methods:

  • PJSSR utilizes multiple archiving methods to ensure redundancy and resilience:
    • Internal Repository: All published content is stored in a secure, permanent internal repository maintained by the journal.
    • Institutional Repositories: PJSSR deposits its content in institutional repositories such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) to ensure distributed archiving and redundancy.
    • National Archives: PJSSR may also deposit its content in national archives or other long-term preservation initiatives, depending on availability and requirements.

3. Access to Archived Content:

  • All published content is freely accessible online through the journal website and repository.
  • Archived content may be subject to embargo periods or access restrictions depending on funding agreements or publisher policies.

4. Author Archiving Rights:

  • Authors retain the right to self-archive their published work in personal or institutional repositories after a designated embargo period (e.g., 12 months) as specified by the journal.
  • Authors are encouraged to follow best practices for self-archiving, such as using open access repositories and clearly acknowledging the original publication in PJSSR.

5. Policy Updates:

  • PJSSR may update its archiving policy as technology and best practices evolve. We will inform authors and readers of any changes through the journal website and other communication channels.
